Louise grew up in Hollywood where her father was a writer for Walt Disney. She served as a WAV in World War II at the Long Beach naval hospital and at El Toro. She married her childhood sweetheart, Donald Jackson, who was a career officer in the army. She lived in Germany immediately after World War II as well as various locations in the United States. Upon Donald’s retirement, they moved back to the Los Angeles area.
She is survived by Charles Jackson, Kenneth Jackson and Bishop Ronald Jackson, as well as five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She devoted herself to her family, friends, church and her beloved Descanso Gardens. She was well known for her winning smile and sunny disposition.
Service will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 2416 Montrose Ave. in Montrose at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in her name to the Los Angeles Mission at www.give.losangelesmission.org.
