Vivian Mary Russell passed away peacefully on Oct. 14 in Glendale.

Vivian was born Oct. 12, 1934 in Edinburgh, Scotland, the daughter of William Johnstone and Margaret N. Johnstone, both from Scotland. Vivian immigrated to New York in 1956 where she met the love of her life Martin. They married a year later in January 1957.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Martin Russell; son Andrew Martin Russell of Santa Clarita; three daughters: Fiona Margaret Pougher of Ventura, Sandra Mae Russell of Largo, Florida and Maureen Anne Russell of Burbank; brother Frank Johnstone and sister Allison Anderson, both of Barrie, Ontario Canada.

She was preceded in death by her son Ronald.

Vivian was the loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Vivian was a long time resident of La Crescenta. Services were held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church of La Crescenta.
