Nov. 8, 1938 – Nov. 2, 2015

On Monday evening, Nov. 2, Dottie passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale. Dottie is survived by her loving family – husband George Tissot and son Christopher Tissot. She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Debus, mother Dorothy Debus and brother Ronald Debus.

The entire Debus family was born in Chicago, Illinois. They later moved to the Glendale area in the mid 1960s where Dottie later met and married her husband George in 1973. They lived together in the La Crescenta area.

During this time, she worked in the trust department at United California Bank, later working for a recreational land development company in their accounting department. Upon the birth of their son, Dottie felt that becoming a homemaker and staying at home mom raising Christopher was more important than outside employment. In the years that followed, she worked at the school computer lab, as a playground supervisor, Cub Scout den mother and at bingo at Holy Redeemer grade school.

Dottie was always known for her compassion and always caring for others. She was a giving person who never judged, but was always there to lend a helping hand. All who knew her will truly miss her.

Funeral directors are Crippen Mortuary.
