June Gertrude Thomas passed away peacefully at her home at Pasadena Highlands. She was 95 years old.

June was born in San Francisco on June 25, 1923 to parents George and Alva Thomas. After graduating Antioch High School, June joined the U.S. Navy and served as a pharmacist’s mate from 1944-46. She was married to Harold Leggett in 1947 (deceased). She later moved to Glendale and earned her licensed vocational nursing degree at Glendale Community College.

Some of her favorite things were spending time with her family and traveling.

June was predeceased in death by her parents, sister Jean Thomas and son Stephen Hammond. She is survived by three children: Marsha Osborne, Linda Smith, and Susan Hammond. She is also survived by grandchildren Ronda Smith, Anthony Hammond, Zachary Hammond and Jacob Hammond; great granddaughter Hannah Denunzio; sisters Edrie Kay Mahan, George Anne Moore and Janice Welker; and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at Skylawn Cemetery in San Mateo.
