NOTES & NODS

Italian Classes at St. Bede
Conversational Italian will be taught at St. Bede Parish on Saturday mornings by noted professor of Italian and Spanish, Professor Nancy Ammirato. The classes, sponsored by the Italian Catholic Federation (ICF), will focus on learning conversational Italian and will be fun-filled and free of tedious grammar lessons. In these classes, participants will learn to conduct conversations in everyday Italian as is spoken in Italy.

Classes begin on Saturday, Jan. 25 and run from 10 a.m. to noon for eight weeks. A workbook will be included. The cost of classes is $140 per person and profits from these classes go to the charities supported by ICF.

As classes are almost filled, anyone interested must act immediately to be registered. For information, call (818) 952-1969. Class size is limited to 20 students and classes are open to all ages. Classes will be held in the Pope John XIII Room of the Parish Center at St. Bede the Venerable Roman Catholic Church, 215 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge.
