LCPC Parent Education announced its annual gala “One for the Record” on Saturday, March 2 at the Oakmont Country Club. This night is especially meaningful because it celebrates the legacy of Parent Education as it celebrates its 45th year. Tickets are only $145 each: bit.ly/parentedgala24.

Since 1978, Parent Education has been a bedrock in the community, bringing together parents and caregivers and strengthening families through education, love and support. The program strives to encourage loving and effective parenting, concepts of human development, strategies for building stronger families and an appreciation for the uniqueness of both parent and child. Over Parent Education’s 45 years, the program has experienced continued growth and expanded impact. It now has classes for parents from birth through young adult and even grandparenting!

As an annual tradition, Parent Education tithes back 10% of all net fundraising proceeds to a charity that impacts families and children. This year, the Parent Education board has chosen The Oasis of Hollywood, a multi-faceted faith-based ministry located in the heart of Hollywood, serving the next generation and their families. See oasisofhollywood.org.

To ensure the continued work of Parent Education and its growing impact on families, support from the local community is requested. The program relies on the generosity of volunteers and donors as tuition alone does not cover operational costs. Supportive community members are sought to consider underwriting a portion of this important event. These gifts will ensure the continued mission of Parent Education benefiting families, community and its philanthropic partners and help make this year “one for the record.” To sponsor or donate, go to bit.ly/parentedgala24.

The annual fundraiser will be March 2 and includes an online auction from Feb. 26 – March 4. This is a great opportunity for businesses to serve an impactful program while also connecting to the local community. Individuals and businesses that desire to donate to the online auction can do so by mailing, emailing or dropping off auction items to the LCPC Ministry Hub by Feb. 7. The online auction will open for viewing on Feb. 14 at 8 a.m. and close on March 4 at 11:59 p.m. Additionally, for the first time, Parent Ed is offering business ads for purchase. All business ads will be printed in the gala program and can be purchased online. Please contact lcpc.pe.auction@gmail.com with any questions.
