This Week at LCIF
All are invited to Lutheran Church in the Foothills on Sunday, Feb. 10 for education, worship, celebration and fellowship. Education hour for all ages begins at 9 a.m. At 10 a.m., all worship as a family. In celebration of Bold Women’s Sunday, LCIF women will be taking the lead for a very special worship service.
Fellowship of conversation and refreshments follows. All are invited.
Coming up on March 16 at 7 p.m., LCIF is hosting a screening of “I Can Only Imagine” based on the story behind the song. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 day of. Tickets are available at www.lcifoothills.org.

Learn How the Mind Works – Free Seminar
A free talk based on the book, “Dianetics – The Modern Science of Mental Health” is being offered by the Church of Scientology Mission of the Foothills on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. Anyone interested is encouraged to call the Foothills Mission at (818) 957-1500 and reserve a spot – or just drop in.

Walk and Word
Spend time Sunday mornings discovering Scripture while hiking Deukmejian Park. Participants meet at 8 a.m. at the parking lot (3429 Markridge Road, La Crescenta) on all but the first Sunday of each month.
Hike for an hour, then journal and share for an hour about a selection of Scripture. All are invited who feel drawn to this alternative spiritual activity under the guidance of CV United Methodist Church lay minister Jeanne Lavieri.
For those interested but unable to hike, several picnic tables with wheelchair access are available.

‘Sleepless in La Cañada’
Ovations Arts Ministry presents a new kids’ musical about a girls’ slumber party that goes desperately wrong! “Sleepless in La Cañada” is a one-hour production performed by kids, for kids and families. (Recommended minimum age: 6 years).
It will be performed on Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 9 at 4 p.m. and Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m. at the La Cañada Prebyterian Church – Worship Arts Center.
$5 at the door; seating is limited.
Childcare is offered on Saturday and Sunday at no cost for children 5 years and under. (No childcare on Friday.)

‘I Can Only Imagine’ at Bethel Church
On Sunday, March 31, Bethel Church in Sun Valley is offering a screening of the film “I Can Only Imagine” (rated PG).
This family drama charts the life of Bart Millard and his memories of his late father, which inspired the hit song “I Can Only Imagine” by the band Mercy Me. A suitable kids film will be shown while adults view the main feature. The video presentation starts at 5:30 p.m.
A potluck supper precedes the movie at 5 p.m. Free admission.

Preparing for St. Joseph Table
St. Bede the Venerable Church in La Cañada Flintridge will feature a large table of donated baked goods, focaccia, homemade tomato sauce and a variety of specially prepared foods for sale at the St. Joseph Table event on Sunday, March 17 after the 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Masses.
