Lutheran Church in the Foothills

Lutheran Church in the Foothills is cooking up its final soup supper for this season of Lent. All are welcome on Wednesday, March 20 at 6:30 p.m. to enjoy a hearty bowl of homemade soup, dessert and refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. Lenten worship follows at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Lent is a 40-day period during which Christians remember the events leading up to and including the death of Jesus Christ. Lent is a time of reflection and of asking for forgiveness. Ultimately, it is a preparation to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection at the feast of Easter.

LCIF would also like to invite all families to its upcoming VBS Sign Up Day on the LCIF campus on April 14 following 10 a.m. worship with Pastor Rick Hall. It’s an opportunity to learn more about VBS (Vacation Bible School) and reserve a spot early. This year’s VBS will be held June 17 through June 21 from 9 a.m. – noon for children in grades K-five. There will be lots of singing and skits, crafts, games and lots of fun, all centered on learning about Jesus and exploring faith.

Visit lcifoothills.org for event details, including small group gatherings and opportunities to serve. For more information or to request/offer help, email office@lcifoothills.org or call (818) 790-1951. The church is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge. Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
