The staff and board of directors of La Cañada Presbyterian Church Parent Education announced their annual spring fundraiser “Opa, A Night Out in Old Town Benefitting Parent Education.”
This fundraising event will be held on Friday, March 25 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Café Santorini’s Rococco Room situated in Old Town Pasadena. Those who attend the event will be able to enjoy a Mediterranean feast while bidding on silent and live auction items. Last year, participants bid on items such as Laker tickets, Burke Williams spa treatments, a private flight to Catalina, and a taping of Dancing with the Stars. The night will include Chris Erskine from the L.A. Times and Chuck Osburn from La Cañada Presbyterian Church, as well as live jazz guitar music preformed by Ryan Dart of CalArts.
Another special attraction of the night will be the bestowing of the first ever “Shining Star Award” to former JPL engineer and volunteer extraordinaire Dennis Carpenter of La Cañada.
Tickets are $85 per person until sold out. Purchase tickets ASAP by contacting Kathy Baumann at kathybaumann@hotmail.com or call the Parent Education office at (818) 790-6705 x 205.
