Good Friday Services at Glendale Memorial
Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital will commemorate Good Friday with a special service led by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, on Friday, April 3 from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Glendale Memorial Hospital – Main Lobby – is located at 1420 S. Central Ave. in Glendale (entrance on Laurel Street).
CV Church Hosting Easter Egg Hunts
Attention, all kids and parents! CV Church is hosting two free community Easter egg hunts at Two Strike Park this Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.!
The Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures. Witness the miracle of 20,000 eggs vanishing in 10 minutes and kids having a fantastic time! It’s free, fun and fabulous!

Holy Week Services at Shadow Hills Pres
Services at Shadow Hills Presbyterian Church for Palm/Passion Sunday, March 29 are at 10 a.m. Maundy Service is on Thursday, April 2 at 7 p.m. Easter Service is on Sunday, April 5 at 10 a.m. There will be a pancake breakfast and Easter egg hunt (ages 0-10) following the Easter Sunday service.

Sunland-Tujunga Easter Sunrise Service at The Cross on McGroarty Peak
The Annual Easter Sunrise Service (Sunday, April 5), coordinated through the Verdugo Hills Ministerial Association and a SunlandTujunga Easter tradition since the early 1920s, will be held at The Cross on McGroarty Peak in Tujunga.
Vans will begin to transport people to the cross starting at 4:30 a.m. from the corner of Foothill Boulevard and Hillhaven (next to the Travel Inn). The service will begin at 6 a.m. and conclude by 7 am.. The worship will be led by the New Hope Worship Band, along with musicians from many of the local churches. The Verdugo HIlls Ministerial Association has coordinated the service with several of the area pastors participating.
Tuesday Table Talk
On Tuesday, April 7, Bethel Church in Sun Valley offers a showing of the film “Who Is Dayani Cristal?”
In this immigration documentary, Arizona authorities find a man’s decomposing body in the oppressive desert heat with only one clue to his identity: a tattoo reading Dayani Cristal.
The video will be preceded by a potluck supper. The potluck starts at 6:30 p.m., the video presentation starts at 7:15 p.m. followed by dessert and discussion at about 8:45 p.m. Free.
The community is invited to attend Easter worship services at Bethel Church. A sunrise service is offered at 7:30 a.m. followed by a free fellowship breakfast. The 10 a.m. celebration service will be immediately followed by a children’s egg hunt with prizes and crafts for kids of all ages. All are welcome!

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, known to many by the nickname The Mormons, is hosting an open house on April 18 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at their Sunland building at 7955 Hillrose St.
The open house will introduce the faith and display what Mormons are doing locally and internationally to feed God’s sheep as directed biblically. Displays will be presented on various general church programs including genealogy and family history, emergency preparedness and humanitarian outreach, scouting and other youth programs, the international women’s organization, and addiction recovery. The church’s new Christ-centered video, “Because He Lives” will also be presented.
Members of local LDS Spanish, Tagalog, and Armenian-speaking congregations will be present to introduce topics to non-English speaking neighbors.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions.

Blessing of the Animals at Shadow Hills Pres
A beloved community tradition continues when Shadow Hills Presbyterian Church celebrates the Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pastor Arlo Tysinger will pray for each animal that is present and a complimentary photo will be taken. Andy’s hot dogs will be available also.
The community is invited to bring their horses, cats, dogs, llamas, iguanas, fish, hamsters, goats, sheep, rabbits, lizards, birds – all of furry, feathered, hairy and scaly friends are welcome!
