Concert and Animal Blessing at Shadow Hills Pres
Shadow Hills Presbyterian Church will host a live concert featuring local group Seven Years on Friday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m. Seven Years is an indie contemporary Christian pop/rock band. To learn more about Seven Years, visit their website: musicofsevenyears.wordpress.com.

The church will then hold its Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All lovers of animals and pet owners are welcome. Pastor Arlo Tysinger will be blessing all creatures great and small. Visit the new community garden and walk the labyrinth under the oak tree. Opportunity for pet adoptions will be available. Pet Orphans of Southern California, a nonprofit that is committed to rescuing and rehabilitating adoptable homeless dogs and cats, will have animals for adoption. FixNation, a coalition partner of No-Kill-LA, will have information about their commitment to reducing the feral cat overpopulation in Los Angeles humanely through Trap-Neuter-Return.

Seminars for Caregivers and on Mindful Aging
The community is invited to attend free seminars facilitated by Kathy Garcia Egan, LCSW, http://kathygarciaegan.com, offered monthly on the first Saturday of each month at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in La Crescenta.

Mindfulness And Caregivers is a practical guide to caring for one’s self while caring for others. These are on the first Saturday of even numbered months from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Mindful Aging offers practical tools to enrich life’s journey. These are on the first Saturday of odd numbered months from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
