NOTES & NODS

The Church and Climate Change
A presentation on the Church and Climate Change will be given on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church.
What do a psychotherapist, a climate scientist, and a Navy Admiral do with their spare time? They devote themselves to convincing people, and especially Christians, of the reality of climate change.
Come hear scientist/engineer Dr. Tom English, Rear Admiral Len Hering (U.S. Navy, Ret.), and psychotherapist/Presbyterian minister Dr. Richard Lyon, explain climate change science and solutions, national and global security concerns, and theological and psychological perspectives on this urgent issue.
What should be our response as the Church?
Bring questions, views and concerns to the discussion. All views are welcome!
This event is sponsored by the Pasadena Foothills Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby and the PCUSA Presbytery of San Fernando. The perspectives of the presenters do not necessarily represent that of individual members of the Session or the Congregation of La Crescenta Presbyterian Church.
