Rummage Sale at Center for Spiritual Living
The Center for Spiritual Living is having a rummage sale fundraiser on Saturday, May 5. Many items are in brand new condition! The sale includes handcrafted items, clothing including prom and evening wear and accessories. Great gift items – wonderful widgets – authentic antiques – fabulous finds – amazing artifacts.

Cinco de Mayo at Lutheran Church of the Foothills
Come and celebrate Cinco de Mayo this Saturday with the Lutheran Church in the Foothills. The Children’s Church will be having a Movie Night screening the movie “Paulie” featuring a very vocal parrot. Our fiesta will include a Mexican Hat Dance, a piñata and tons of fun!

Join us from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Lutheran Church in the Foothills, 1700 Foothill Blvd., La Cañada.

Alpha is Here!
Do you have questions about life? Questions like, “Is there a God? Why am I here? Where am I going? Is there more to life?”

All are invited to attend the Alpha Course, hosted by St. Luke’s Anglican Church, on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. held at 5022 Hook Tree Road in La Cañada. This course is a practical introduction to the Christian faith which offers answers to some key questions about life and God. Each weekly session begins with an informal dinner followed by a large-group learning time and ends with small-group discussion and interaction.

“Courageous” Video Presentations  
Bethel Church will offer two showings of the film “Courageous.” The first showing will be on Tuesday evening, June 5 preceded by a potluck supper. The potluck starts at 6:30 p.m.; the video starts at 7:15 p.m. followed by dessert and discussion at about 9:15 p.m.

The second showing will be on Saturday morning, June 16 preceded by a free breakfast. The breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m.; the video starts at 8:15 a.m. followed by the opportunity for discussion at about 10:15 a.m.

In this recently released film, despite showing bravery on the job a group of law enforcement officers find themselves undone when tragedy strikes at home in this social drama. With the aid of their Christian faith, however, the men find a deeper well of courage in their hearts.

A powerful challenge to all men to step up to their role as spiritual leaders; a perfect way to prepare for Father’s Day.
