Church offers night of food, jazz
Light on the Corner Church is hosting A Night of Jazz – Old and New on Sunday, June 13. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. a sumptuous selection of hors d’ oeuvres will be served followed by some designer ice cream from Denmark catered by Paradis Ice Cream in Montrose.
At about 6:00 p.m. the concert will begin in the church sanctuary with the “house” band Mark Carter and the Cool Cats. As always, there will be door prizes available … don’t forget to sign in on the entry forms for a chance at winning. There will be a special prize for the person who brings the most first time guests.
The cost is $5 per ticket, and it is recommended that orders be made early, as the church is limited to the first 150 people on a first come/first serve basis. Tickets can be purchased before or after the morning worship service which is at 10:45 a.m. Sunday mornings or by calling the church office at (818) 249-4806 and leaving a message.
Light on the Corner Church is located at 1911 Waltonia Drive in Montrose.

Love Circle found at FBCLC
First Baptist Church La Crescenta hosts the Love Circle, led by Chris Carlson. The Circle meets every Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. and is a special ministry that reaches out to the ill and shut-in (past and present) First Family members and to their extended families. The Circle offers weekly visits that include a time of prayer, written materials (The Daily Bread, church bulletins, and prayer sheets), and flowers or treats.

LCPC hosting work day
There is something for everyone to do during La Crescenta Presbyterian Church’s all church work day on Saturday, June 5 from 9 a.m. to noon from rejuvenating the courtyard planters to painting and general maintenance. Serve the Lord – meet new friends –  get in shape! There will be a barbecue with hamburgers and hot dogs afterwards.
