This Week at LCIF

All are invited to Lutheran Church in the Foothills on Sunday, June 16 to celebrate Father’s Day. All are invited at 9 a.m. for a time of education for all ages. Family worship begins at 10 a.m. and is led children, Youth and Family directory Stephen Robertson. He will be preaching on “A Father’s Wisdom.” All are welcome!

Shadow Hills Presbyterian Church Annual Fundraising Event

Shadow Hills Presbyterian Church will host its 16th Annual Rummage Sale on Saturday, June 15 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from this event will help support its mission projects in the community. Many families donate to this sale. Someone has already donated their collection of shot glasses and a collection of Mattel’s Monster High and some Ever After High dolls. There are always clothes, lots of costume jewelry, linens and other interesting stuff. Please join us for some fun shopping. 

Those who want to come early can make a donation of $5 and enter at 7:30 a.m.

Walk and Word

Spend time Sunday mornings discovering Scripture while hiking Deukmejian Park. Participants meet at 8 a.m. at the parking lot (3429 Markridge Road, La Crescenta) on all but the first Sunday of each month.

Hike for an hour, then journal and share for an hour about a selection of Scripture. All are invited who feel drawn to this alternative spiritual activity under the guidance of CV United Methodist Church lay minister Jeanne Lavieri.

For those interested but unable to hike, several picnic tables with wheelchair access are available.
