Movie Night at St. Luke’s of the Mountains
St. Luke’s of the Mountains is hosting a movie night on Friday, June 24, screening “Millions” directed by Danny Boyle (“Slumdog Millionaire”).
Two boys, still grieving the death of their mother, find themselves the unwitting benefactors of a bag of bank robbery loot in the week before the United Kingdom switches its official currency to the Euro.
Director Danny Boyle has directed a heartfelt, emotionally delicate children’s movie about life and death and all the parts in between. “Millions” is about the secret world of children, in particular that miraculous, tragically brief interlude when the young imagination – not yet captive to crippling adult conventions like time, space and rational thought – takes boundless flight.
Come for a hot dog dinner at 6:30 p.m. Dinner is $5 and includes hot dog, chips, fruit and drink. Movie starts at 7 p.m. There will be popcorn and candy for $1 and the movie is free.
