Members of the Italian Catholic Federation – L.A. District Bishops’ Banquet Planning Committee met recently to plan the 2012 Bishops’ Banquet and Mass to be held on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles.

Archbishop Jose Gomez will be presented with a check from money raised by the branches of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for the benefit of St. John Seminary in Camarillo. This will be the second year that members from all branches in the archdiocese will gather for the event. The archbishop will celebrate and the auxiliary bishops of the archdiocese will concelebrate along with all of the pastors of the parishes who are part of the ICF organization.

The major fundraising event also includes a journal in which many leading Los Angeles area businesses and merchants participate. Last year a substantial seminary purse was presented to Archbishop Gomez and to the leaders of the seminary who also attended the Mass and the banquet.

Information about attending the banquet or participating in the journal can be obtained by calling (626) 372-7812.
