Bone Marrow Drive on Sunday
A3M – Asians for Miracle Marrow Match – is holding a bone marrow drive on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. It involves a simple cheek swab.
The drive is being held at New Life Mission Church, 4409 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta.
LCCRS Hosting “Radical Self-Forgiveness”
The Center for Spiritual Living – La Crescenta is hosting Radical Self-Forgiveness – The Direct Path to True Self-Acceptance. The four-week workshop is based on the book “Radical Self-Forgiveness” by Colin Tipping and will be facilitated at the Center by Sandi Davis, RScP and Laney Clevenger-White, RScP. The public is invited to join them for a thought-provoking and powerful approach to self-forgiveness.
The workshops take place on Sundays from noon to 2 p.m. on Aug. 7, 14, 21 and 28.
The cost is a donation of $100 plus the cost of the textbook that will be available at a 20% discount in price.

“Overcoming Barriers to Wholeness” Classes Continue
St. Luke’s Anglican Church continues its classes on “Overcoming Barriers to Wholeness: Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual” on Friday at 7 p.m. These classes, led by Rector Fr. Rob Holman, take place on the fourth Friday of every month at the offices of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 3901 Foothill Blvd., second floor, La Crescenta. The monthly healing classes include music, teaching and healing prayer according to the Christian faith. Jesus loved to heal and St. Luke’s hope is to offer a healing touch to all who attend, including those suffering and seeking healing due to divorce or other relational issues.

St. Luke’s Hosting Movie
St. Luke’s of the Mountains in La Crescenta is presenting a screening of “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?” with Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio on Friday. The movie is free; burger and hot dog dinners will be on sale for $5. Popcorn, candy and soda are available for $1.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the movie starting at 7 p.m.
