Pastor Welcomes New Parish Families

Monsignor Antonio Cacciapuoti, pastor of St. Bede the Venerable Roman Catholic Church in La Cañada Flintridge, celebrated his first year as pastor of the parish by celebrating a Mass of Welcome for the 120 families that have become new parishioners since July 1, 2010 when he became the new pastor of the local Catholic church.

Pastor Cacciapuoti reached out to welcome the new parishioners at the 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, urging the congregation to extend warmth to the families who became members of the local Catholic community.

“It is my honor this Sunday to celebrate this Mass of Welcome for our new parish families,” he told parishioners, “and I hope that you all will share with them the St. Bede hospitality that makes us a warm and unique Christian community.”

He added how the past year had been a wonderful experience for him.

“Your gracious hospitality made my own transition easy and enjoyable, and I want to thank the entire parish and the La Canãda community for making me feel so very welcome to this fantastic city and Christian community.”
