Bible Study for Women at
First Baptist

First Baptist Church at La Crescenta is offering a Bible study for women in the community. “Seasons of Life” is a nondenominational study for women of all ages. Three classes that include Joy of Living, Women of Faith and Beth Moore’s Jesus, the One and Only will begin Sept. 29. “Seasons of Life” meets each Thursday morning from 10 a.m. -11:30 a.m. at the church. New Prayer Service at St. Bede
St. Bede the Venerable Roman Catholic Church has started a new daily evening prayer service, Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:10 p.m. in the chapel. The service will include vespers, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the rosary. All are welcome to attend.

LCCRS Hosting “Radical Self-Forgiveness”
The Center for Spiritual Living – La Crescenta is hosting Radical Self-Forgiveness – The Direct Path to True Self-Acceptance. The four-week workshop is based on the book “Radical Self-Forgiveness” by Colin Tipping and will be facilitated at the Center by Sandi Davis, RScP and Laney Clevenger-White, RScP. The public is invited to join them for a thought-provoking and powerful approach to self-forgiveness.
The last two workshops take place on Sunday, Aug. 21 and 28 from noon to 2 p.m.
The cost is a donation of $100 plus the cost of the textbook that will be available at a 20% discount in price.

Tuesday Table Talk  

On Tuesday, Sept. 6 Bethel Church will offer a showing of the film “No Greater Love” preceded by a potluck supper. The potluck starts at 6:30 p.m.; the video starts at 7:15 p.m. followed by dessert and discussion at about 9 p.m..
When his wife Heather abandons him in a fit of depression and disappears without a trace, Jeff is left to raise his son all on his own – until a decade later when, by chance, he spots Heather at a church event. Now the family must discover what place love, God, and forgiveness have in their lives.
