CENTER ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE

The La Crescenta Center for Spiritual Living invites the community to the following:

On Aug. 22 Rev Bev’s Sunday topic is The Healing of Hurt (Rev. Steve) and on Aug. 29 – Forgive for Good.

Rev. Steve’s Wednesday night topic on Aug. 25 is Healing Consciousness with music by Gaia Mama.

Plan ahead for shaman Jim Dewell’s workshops on the Munay-Ki rites. Nine initiations will be given to participants during three sessions after the introductory lecture on Friday, Sept. 24 at 7:00 p.m. ($20). Workshops will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25, Friday, Oct. 15, and Saturday, Oct 16. Participation in both the introductory lecture and the workshops is $100. Pre-registration is required.

COME OUT AND SEE THE ELEPHANTS AT TUMC
You might even want to buy one or two of them! White Elephants, that is. They will be only a small part of the many wonderful items to browse over at the Tujunga United Methodist Church Annual Harvest Festival being held on the church grounds from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21. Besides the giant yard sale in the parking lot and the white elephants there will be a jewelry booth, baked goods, assorted jams and fruit preserves, miscellaneous clothing, toys, electrical and household items, plus a delicious outdoor barbecue luncheon.
