This Week at LCIF 

Lutheran Church in the Foothills invites the community to worship in the church’s Worship Center. On Sunday, Aug. 29 at 10 a.m. Pastor Scott Peterson will lead worship with the first message from his sermon series on “Right-eousness” titled “Doing It Right.” The service will also be live-streamed at 10 a.m. on the church’s YouTube channel. For those unable to attend or watch live, the videos will be available on the website, Facebook page and YouTube channel after 11 a.m.

The church is collecting non-perishable food and clean, gently used clothing to distribute to local people in need. Please bring the items to the church office lobby during office hours.

Outdoor Movie Night 

Bethel Church invites everyone in the community to attend an outdoor showing of the movie “The Prince of Egypt” at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 5. 

In this movie, Moses is born into slavery and cast adrift on the Nile then reared as the son of the pharaoh. After Moses learns of his true ancestry, he answers God’s call and accepts his destiny: to lead the Hebrews out of slavery and into freedom. All are welcome!

Women’s Nondenominational Bible Study

Seasons of Life Bible Study offers two classes to choose from: Joy of Living will be studying the books of Isaiah and 2 Corinthians. Women of Faith will be doing book studies, “Life Lessons from 1, 2, & 3 John and Jude” by Max Lucado and “The Power of Transforming Prayer” by Oswald Sanders on Thursday mornings from 10 – 11:30 a.m. beginning Sept. 23 through April 14 at the Community Life/First Baptist Church of La Crescenta, 4441 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta.

LCPC Hosting Blood Drive

La Crescenta Presbyterian Church is hosting a Red Cross blood drive on Sunday, Sept. 26 on the church campus from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. To sign up, look for the Deacons Blood Drive table on Sundays after the service or contact LCPC Deacon Ann Scoggins at atjwslifeisgood@gmail.com for information.
