La Cañada Congregational Church Announces Launch Sunday
On Sunday, Sept. 7, La Cañada Congregational invites the community as we “launch” our new worship and Christian education year. The Congregational church is among the oldest in America; its direct descendants are those who stepped off the Mayflower. Hence, we are “launching” this Sunday!
We welcome any and all to come see what the former “Church of the Lighted Window” is up to. After regular service, the Christian education board is hosting a reception with food, punch, games and activities for the kids. As a “kid-centric” board, this invitation is extended especially to young families. Those new to the community, singles and couples of any age are more than welcome, too!
Service in the main sanctuary at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Skip Lindeman preaching and the Chancel Choir with music. Sunday school at 10 a.m. upstairs. “Launch Sunday” reception immediately following on the courtyard outside and in Fellowship Hall from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Come for God, stay for lunch!
Church of the Lighted Window is located at 1200 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada Flintridge.
