If the kids can go back to school, we can go back to church. A special day to meet new people, like Andrew spending a day with Jesus, then bringing his brother to meet the Lord. Philip met Jesus by the roadside, then found his friend Nathaniel, and brought him to meet Jesus. Like Andrew and Philip, you too have a few close friends or relatives who would like to learn about and meet Jesus. On Sunday, Sept. 12 First Baptist Church at La Crescenta is holding its second annual “Back to Church” Sunday. Service starts at 10:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary followed by a picnic-type lunch in the Fellowship Hall. All are invited to come and share this fellowship.
Also at First Baptist Church is a new service called Traditions, a traditional service catering to seniors. It features hymns, organ and a message from God’s word brought by the new pastor of one year, Bill Flanders.
Join the service on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a potluck salad luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. This is a great time for rejoicing and fellowship with seniors in mind.
Call the church office with luncheon reservations or if transportation is needed.
