St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church is celebrating more than 10,000 Korean martyrs at a Mass and reception on Sep. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
One-hundred-and-three martyrs were canonized en masse in May 1984. Another 124 were beatified in 2014 by Pope Francis. The Catholic Church in Korea was founded by lay people who sacrificed their lives through many years of persecution.
All are invited to celebrate the Mass in the church followed by a reception in the Mother Teresa Room and Courtyard to enjoy music and food. Hosted by the Korean Martyrs Committee.
