Education Classes at LCPC
LCPC Parent Education continues its six-week night session titled Parent Express for parents of ’tweens to teens. Classes meet Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through Nov. 13. It covers a variety of important topics including bonding, power struggles, substance abuse, anxiety/depression and raising a well-rounded child.
People may attend all, some, or one of the classes. Tuition costs $60 for the entire series or $10 per class at the door with free childcare available for children 0-12 per RSVP to heather@lacanadapc.org.

Holiday Boutique at TUMC
The United Methodist Women of Tujunga is having its annual holiday boutique on Saturday Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tujunga United Methodist Church. Many beautiful and creative gift ideas will be available for purchase, as well as some very tempting and delicious ones, too! Be sure to arrive early and bring the entire family to this exciting once-a-year event.
The holiday boutique will have something of interest for everyone!

Tuesday Table Talk
On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Bethel Church in Sun Valley will show the film, “Harvest of Empire.” The movie is a gripping documentary that reveals the political and social roots that have driven millions to migrate from Latin America to the United States. For the children, we will show at the same time, “The Jungle Book.”
The videos will be preceded by a potluck supper. The potluck starts at 6:30 p.m.; the presentation starts at 7:15 p.m. followed by dessert and discussion at about 8:45 p.m. Free.

Treasures to Be Found at Shadow Hills Pres
Shadow Hills Presbyterian Church, 10158 Johanna Ave. in Sunland, will host its Annual Treasure Sale on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. For sale will be collectables, vintage and gently used “good stuff.” This year will feature a Christmas boutique that will be filled with treasures for the young and young at heart. Also on sale will be vintage whiskey decanters circa 1960-1970, collectible wolf and Native American plates, paintings, fine and costume jewelry and lots more.
Andy’s famous hot dogs will be served.
