International religious lecturer and peace activist Man Lee addressed students and religious leaders at the Bovard Auditorium at USC on Saturday to share the method of peace hidden in the Book of Revelation in the Bible.
To a packed auditorium of diverse attendees, Lee explained the books of Matthew 13, 24, 25 and Revelation calling individuals of faith to seek and understand the divine plan for peace in Scripture.
The seminar is the finale of Lee’s seventh world tour to meet with students, national and religious leaders around the world. Many have noted that, after meeting him, he has the passion and materials to make world peace possible.
On Friday, Lee organized hundreds of students from school organizations of USC, UCLA, UC Irvine, Cal Poly Pomona, Pepperdine and Cal State Fullerton to rally for peace aboard the SS Lane Victory in San Pedro, a fully operational cargo ship which was used during the Korean War to rescue refugees.
The movement of peace has caught the interest of leaders including Nobel Peace Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, Ethiopia President Girma Wolde-Giorgis, South Africa President Jacob Zuma, Malawi President Joyce Banda, Phallop Thaiarry of the World Fellowship of Buddhists and Deputy Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea Leo Dion.
“Mr. Lee has a message of peace and religion that is relevant to anyone, young or old. We are honored to have Mr. Lee speak to the Los Angeles community,” said Michelle Chang of International Peace Youth Group Los Angeles.
