Free Concert at La Cañada Congregational

The community is invited to a free concert at the La Cañada Congregational Church on Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. in the church. The choir will be singing Vivaldi’s “Magnificat” and Bach’s Cantata 140, “Sleepers, Wake!” The concert features our incredible soloists. We will also have orchestral instruments to accompany the organ and piano, featuring strings, oboes and a bassoon!

You know you’ve always wanted to check out the church on the corner with the fabulous stained glass windows! Here’s the chance. All are invited and all are welcome. Bring the kids, bring parents, friends and neighbors as a good time will be had by all.

A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall.

Explore Bethlehem at CVCHURCH

CVCHURCH is hosting Explore Bethlehem on Dec. 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.!

Children get a free camel ride plus there will be opportunities to make candles, pottery, perfume and leather projects. There will also be story telling and pictures taken with live animals! There is no cost to attend.

Experience a live Nativity, Christmas carols and much more with your kids, family, friends and coworkers! Kick off Christmas at CVCHURCH.

Annual Drive-thru Nativity

A child is born.

Community Christian Church of the Foothills (across from the Tujunga post office) is again offering its annual Drive-thru Nativity featuring live actors and animals as a gift to the community on Friday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Come and experience the wonder and love of the first Christmas – for free! Watch Mary and Joseph make their way to Bethlehem as an angel, suspended in air, announces the birth of the Savior to the lowly shepherd around a campfire. Be humbled by the little Baby Jesus lying in the manger enjoying the love of his mother and father, surrounded by animals. Marvel with the Wise Men as they follow the star to the place of the newborn King.

Take a moment to pause and pray with our Drive-thru prayer partners. All are invited to come into our coffee house for fellowship, hot coffee or chocolate as well as other delicious treats.

CCC also invites the community to its annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service on Thursday, Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. Enjoy an hour of singing Christmas carols, hearing the Christmas story, and participating in the Lord’s Supper. Take a moment to celebrate the “reason for the season” with your friends at Community Christian Church.

Christmas Worship Service 

On Sunday, Dec. 20 Bethel Church will offer a 6 p.m. evening Christmas worship service including a Christmas pageant featuring children of different ages acting out the Christmas story, congregational singing of favorite Christmas carols, a women’s choir performing, and a message from the Pastor on “The Heart of a Giver” with John 3:16 as the text.

Gifts will be offered to each child and family attending. Refreshments served after the service. All in the community are welcome.
