Explore Bethlehem at CV Church
CV Church is again hosting the free Explore Bethlehem event on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Food, sponsored and donated by Seasoning Alley in Montrose, will be available. Activities, including leather-working, metal-working, perfume-making, camel riding and a petting zoo, will be on-site. Roman soldiers will lead into the celebration of Jesus’ birth in the midst of the census in Bethlehem.  
CV Church is located at 4001 La Crescenta Ave. in La Crescenta.

Christmas Concert
La Cañada Congregational Church presents a Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m.
There will be a selection of choral carols and Pinkham’s “Christmas Cantata” for mixed chorus, brass quartet and organ. Soloists include soprano Vera Lugo, mezzo-soprano Christina Thomas, tenor Russell Smith and baritone Paul Keilbach. Joseph Klice is organist and Harold Daugherty will be conducting.
Freewill offering to be collected to benefit music fund.
Free childcare and reception follows.

This Week at LCIF
All are invited to Lutheran Church in the Foothills on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. for the second Sunday of Advent. This week, Pastor Scott Peterson leads with a sermon entitled “Appear.” Then stay for a special event at 11 a.m. – JAM and gingerbread! We’ll sing Just Advent Music and decorate gingerbread cookies and churches. All ages are invited!
Later, on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., we’ll join Holy Redeemer Catholic Church from Montrose at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in La Crescenta for a Community Christmas Concert. All are welcome and it’s free!
On Wednesday, Dec. 13, we’ll have a soup supper at 6 p.m. to raise funds for Lutheran World Relief Baby Care Kits. Then join us for Advent worship at 7 p.m. All are welcome!

Christmas Worship  
Bethel Church is planning special Christmas Eve worship services at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 24. The 10 a.m. service will feature music of the season, an intriguing live drama and a Christmas meditation. The 5 p.m. candlelight service will include presentation of lessons and carols.  
Gifts will be offered to each child and family attending. Refreshments served after the service. Free – all are welcome!
