This Week at LCIF

Advent season continues at Lutheran Church in the Foothills! All are invited on Sunday, Dec. 16 for a time of education, worship, celebration, fellowship and more. Regular education hour for all ages begins at 9 a.m. with a special Advent study of world hunger. This Sunday features the church’s annual Advent Service of Song led by its Anthem Chorale. It’s always fun and the treats after the worship service, provided by the Anthem Chorale, are always amazing!

On Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. is the annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service – a beautiful way to spend Christmas Eve.

Drive Through Nativity at CCC

Community Christian Church will once again provide to the Crescenta Valley its annual Drive Through Nativity. The Drive Though Nativity will be held on Friday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Experience the joy and miracle of our Savior’s birth by attending this free event.

CCC is located at 10193 Tujunga Canyon Blvd. in Tujunga, across the street from the Tujunga post office.

 

La Cânada Congregational Church Presents Winter Concert

The Cancel Choir of La Cañada Congregational Church presents a Winter Concert on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 4 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

The concert will feature composer Vincent Persichetti’s “Winter Cantata” for women’s chorus. He will be accompanied by Diane Alancraig on the flute, Lynda Sue Marks on the marimba and Joseph Klice on the organ and piano. The choir is under the direction of Dr. Harold Daugherty.

The program will also include Christmas carols for both the choir and audience.

No admission is charged for the concert. A free-will offering will be received to support the church’s music fund. Free child care is also available.

The audience is invited to a reception following the concert.
