LCPC Parent Ed Enjoys Holiday Party, Plans for the Year Ahead

La Cañada Presbyterian Church’s Parent Education Program (LCPC Parent Ed) board, ministry support team and staff recently met at the La Cañada Flintridge home of Brad and Ashley Barrett for a year-end Christmas party and board meeting. The evening was filled with good food, fellowship, reflection, planning and prayer in anticipation of the year ahead.

In attendance were staff members Anne Bierling (director), Amanda Baughman, Teresa Chiu, Paula Giboney, Jennifer Gordon, Heather Ehrhardt, Cathy Lukesh, Ellen Mackle, Sarah Montes, Vicki Rekedal, Katy Riddell, Jan Roberts, Sandy Lee Schaupp, Tracy Tobias, Jana Van Dyck, and Sloan Walsh, as well as Board volunteers and MST Members, Ashley Barrett, Debbie Barsom, Elizabeth Angiuli, Amanda Baughman, Stephanie Ferguson, Melanie Frey, Lauren Gallidoro, Lynne Graves, Katrina Harbers, Kelsey Hendrix, Annie Hewett, Natalie Hubbard, Carrie Kingston, Kathy Kovalcik, Julie Milbrodt, Charlotte Miller, Sarah New, Jenny Ryan, Amber Gerhardt-Serrano, Natasha Wood and associate pastor for LCPC, Chuck Osburn.

Looking ahead, from Jan. 22–26 is the second semester open house when all parents and grandparents of newborn children through college students are invited to experience a free trial class (reservation available online). In addition to the 16 daytime classes, additional Parent Express classes will be offered including Parents of Tweens, The Art of Fatherhood and a marriage class for couples, The Art of Marriage. LCPC Parent Ed also announced the 2024 Annual Gala “One for the Record!” on Saturday, March 2. Save the date for a fun-filled night of fabulous food and live entertainment when LCPC Parent Ed will celebrate a 45-year legacy – as well as raise money for ongoing programming. Additionally, 10% of all net proceeds will go to Oasis of Hollywood, a multi-faceted, faith-based ministry located in the heart of Hollywood serving the next generation and their families.
