Community Christian Church of the Foothills held its annual Drive-Thru Nativity event this past weekend at its location at 10193 Tujunga Canyon Blvd. in Tujunga. The Drive-Thru Nativity was open from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights and organizers estimated that more people visited the event than in past years.

The church’s large parking lot was covered in sand and the first scene that visitors saw was that of Mary and Joseph traveling with a donkey to Bethlehem. The second scene came upon an angel seemingly floating in the air, telling the shepherds of the news of the Savior’s birth. Scene three depicted Jesus’ birth in the stable and the fourth found the Wise Men journeying to find the baby.

The public is invited to the church’s Christmas Eve service tonight, Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. Weekly service times are Sunday mornings from 11:00 to noon. Coffee and fellowship precedes worship at 10:30 and Sunday school for all ages is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30.
