CVHS senior athlete Nick Tralongo had the honor and privilege of having been selected to participate in the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament along with 400 other high school baseball players from across the country. All players have been chosen by professional scouts and will be assembled into teams by region for training, testing and intense competition.

Last year, all 30 Major League Baseball teams had a scouting representative along with the MLB Scouting Bureau in attendance.

The event takes place at Sloan Park, Mesa, Arizona, the spring training facility of the Chicago Cubs, on Jan. 13 through Jan. 15. Standout athletes will have the opportunity to play in the national tournament held at Wrigley Field in Chicago at a later date. Tralongo is coached by Javier Luevano of the South Pasadena Astros.
