The Rosemont Middle School flag football team defeated the Toll Titans 12-0 at Toll Middle School on Jan. 29. The win evened the Spartans’ record at 1-1 (they lost previously to Roosevelt 7-6 on Jan. 22). In the game against Toll, quarterback Chase Center went out with a knee bruise and Max Blessinger stepped in as his replacement. Blessinger threw two touchdowns, one to Angel Ochoa and the other to Vincent Parrott.
Defensively, the Spartans have still not given up a touchdown to the opposing offense. Roosevelt scored theirs on a punt return.
Rosemont has been on the road for its first two games. The team plays its first home game of the season today against the Wilson Knights at 3:30 p.m.
