The Falcons girls’ basketball won their league on Sunday night at Cal State Northridge with a come-from-behind victory over Ready 2 Hoop, 36-31. The Falcons hadn’t practiced in two weeks and were without Michaela Cacho-Negrete, but after trailing by eight points at halftime they found just enough rhythm to earn first place trophies.
Led by Coach Chris Bouchard, the Falcons, comprised of seventh and eighth graders, went 6-0 in the regular season, were awarded a forfeit win last week, and won on Sunday to give them a perfect 8-0 record.
The Falcons are Arlene Ovanessian, Caitlyn Bouchard, Collett Simonian, Destiny Gilliand, Michaela Cacho-Negrete, Olivia Faalnik, Rachel Dayag, Senayt Tassew and Denise Dayag.
