The CV Falcons held their first track and field Pacific League tri-meet of the season on their all season track facility against the Burbank Bulldogs and Muir Mustangs. Although the tri-meet had several more heats than is typical, scores were based on dual meet criteria.
Coming onto the field was a high caliber of talented athletes from all three teams who produced some of the best performances and times for the season thus far.
CV powerhouse runner, junior Dylan Wilbur, had a dual win in both the 1600m and the 800m. Burbank junior Victor Goli fought all the way to the finish in both races taking second in the 1600m. Wilbur ran 1:59.96 in the 800m to take the win followed by Bulldog Mher Matevosyan (2:01.13) then Luis Castellanos (2:06.42).

The Falcon team of Sophia Atin, Samantha Moore and Juliana won the top three spots in the 1600m. Atin won with a time of 5:24.26, Moore 5:28.62 and Chenev 5:29.07. This year’s Muir team included many more outstanding athletes who provided several wins in the sprints, hurdle races and field events both in the varsity and frosh/soph races. Muir is continuing to build its program and has made a contribution to the league.
