Hosting the Falcons on Glendale High School’s Moyse Field on Thursday, it was apparent early on that the force of their crosstown rivals, both in the boys’ and girls’ varsity and frosh/soph events, overwhelmed the Glendale Dynamiters. The Falcons came into the meet already scoring a 4-0 varsity win in the Pacific League dual meets against Burroughs, Hoover, Pasadena, Muir and, with the win over Glendale, the count climbed to 5-0.

In the boys’ varsity events, CV scored 11 wins compared to the five by the Dynamiters. The Falcon girls’ varsity scored 13 wins to three for the Dynamiters.

The Falcons scored the first win in the 400m relay running a time of 45.09. During the exchange of the second handoff, Falcon Nick Tralongo was unfortunately tripped, scraping his face, but he still made the handoff successfully. Anchorman Jaedin Springfield secured the victory with a blast of speed, running from the Dynamiter’s anchorman. Springfield later enjoyed a personal dual win in the 100m running 11.4 and in the 200m running 23.3.
