Gladiator Youth Football Signups Continue
The La Cañada Gladiators Youth Football program is open for registration for the 2018 football season. Registration and payment are online. Football applications are available on the Gladiator webpage at www.lcgladiators.org.
The Gladiator program is open to girls and boys ages 6 to 14. The Gladiators field one flag team and four tackle teams. Practice begins July 23 and the regular season starts in early September and ends the first weekend in November.
Early registration is strongly encouraged as spaces fill up quickly and team rosters are capped at 33 players for each tackle team and 20 players for the flag squad. Falcons Host Appreciation Night
Crescenta Valley High School Falcon baseball is hosting Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, May 11 at Stengel Field, 1601 Cañada Blvd. in Glendale. Gates open at 5:30; game is at 7 p.m.
This is a free family event that will features a competitive baseball game with the Crescenta Valley Falcons against Arcadia Apaches. There will also be raffle baskets, bake sale, Kiwanis food drive collection, and Los Gringos food truck. Families: come to cheer on their teams!

 

CVHS Prepares for Athletic Hall of Fame Induction
The Crescenta Valley High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducting the class of 2018 on Saturday, May 19 at Oakmont Country Club. Inductees include Stacy Atwood (softball, class of 1992), Janelle (Del Soldato) Evans (track/cross country, class of 2000), Michael Goetsch (water polo, class of 1978), Dennis Gossard (football coach), Erik La Com (football, class of 1994), Bill Penfold (basketball, class of 1980), Steve Rousey (baseball, class of 1981), Gail (Wolze) Malone (volleyball, class of 1975), and Nick Yerton (football, class of 1997).
