The Verdugo 10K was held on May 3 at Brand Park. The La Crescenta area was well represented in several categories. Rebecca FitzGerald won her age group for women. In the boys age 13-17 category it was a CV freshmen/Rosemont sweep with Matt Bomar (CV) taking the win followed by Manan Vats (RMS eighth grader) in second place and Kevin Faeustle (CV) rounding it out with third place. Erik Faeustle (RMS-seventh grader) also won the contest for 12 and under boys.

Bomar won the 13-17 boys age group last year as well. He was in the top 50 (48th) last year and improved to the top 20 (15th) overall this year.
