The Breakers then surged, starting with a PK and followed by another goal ending with a final score 2-2.
Sunday morning brought clouds and rain but that didn’t slow GU13 girls. They defeated the Celtics by a score of 2 to 0. Strong plays were made by Andrea Gutierrez, Dylan Harrow, Heather Turcios and Kayci Jatico along with Sandoval and MianneKim Zuiderveen. Bird and Burch scored the goals. Goalie Clare Shapiro held off most of the other team’s attack on the goal.
Although CV won the game and their pool, they lost Burch to an injured left ankle.
The final game against the Riverside Rage was dominated by the CV girls who spent most of the half in possession of the ball on the offensive. Goals by Costilla, Sarah Patrick and two from Harrow secured the lead for CV with some solid saves by Shapiro bringing the final score 4-1.
