The Crescenta Valley High School baseball program will hold its ninth annual Falcons Summer Baseball Camp from June 18 to June 21 at Stengel Field in Glendale. Camp will be conducted from 9 a.m. to noon.
Led by CVHS varsity coach Phil Torres, the camp will focus on pitching, hitting, defense and more. There will be current and former coaches and players from the program there to assist campers. The cost is $175 per person, and participants will receive a T-shirt. The camp is open to girls and boys, ages 7-13.

The CV varsity baseball team won another Pacific League championship this year, and made it to the CIF quarterfinals, losing to Yucaipa 5-3. As a result of their hard work, many of the players nabbed League honors.
Trevor Beer was named the Pitcher of the Year while Brian Ghattas, Will Grimm and Brian Erickson were named to the All-League First Team. Vinny Parrot (above) and Isaac Sung earned second team honors, and Luke Hempel was an honorable mention.
CV Basketball Summer Schedule
The Falcons varsity summer league is well under way, as games began on June 1. CV has a busy week as they played two games on Tuesday and one on Wednesday. They play today against Valencia at St. Genevieve HS at 8:45 p.m. On Friday, they are at Burroughs HS for a 1 p.m. game against Poly/Sun Valley.
Here is a look at the schedule. Games will go until Tuesday, July 3 before the team takes its break before school starts.
