The ninth annual summer basketball camp for kids opened June 21 at Pacific Community Center.
The camp is open to boys and girls of all skill levels and will be held on Thursdays. The 4 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. class is for boys and girls ages 5 to 7 years.
The 5 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. class is for boys and girls ages 8 to 10 years. The kids will learn the basketball basics of ball handling, passing, dribbling and shooting. Players will be asked to perform a series of agility drills such as the floor ladder and cone work.
Coach Tony Passarella conducts the camp and will also teach the kids a series of life lessons.
