The Crescenta Valley High varsity boys’ basketball team finished its summer league season with a record of 16-4 after it went 3-1 at Glendale Community College last week. The Falcons defeated Alhambra, Verdugo Hills and Walnut, while their lone defeat was a 59-52 overtime loss to San Gabriel Academy.
Heading into the fall season, the team will look to Arman Pezeshkian, its most lethal scorer this summer, as well as varsity returners Chris Arzoumanian and center Austin Novak. Sophomore Tyler Carlson, who played with the JV last year, will also be expected to contribute.
The junior varsity Falcons went 8-7 this summer, playing most of its games at St. Francis High School, Burbank High and Burroughs High. The JV won its last two games, 60-51 over Chavez, and 38-34 over Canyon.
