Strong play by U6 brings team to semi-finals

The U6 Baseball Tournament Team for Crescenta Sports Association, the Falcons, competed in the Camarillo Father’s Day Bash reaching semi-finals in its second straight tournament. The team was able to reach quarter finals thanks in part to an amazing catch by Nick Nolan in deep right field during pool play.

Despite the outstanding play of Nathan Hunstable, Jordan Lamm and the entire team, prospects looked dim in quarter finals when they were down 13–7 in the final inning. However, this team was not to be stopped.

Offensive powerhouse Nolan Morrissey and the R.B.I. king Jack Pfau led the charge and tied the game with help from Jayden Menchaca and Bennett Goldman. It went into California tie breaker play and ultimately won 15-14, advancing to semi-finals.

The team was defeated in semi-finals by tournament winner Mid-Valley though the top level performances on defense were given by players including Teddy Amorosi, Zachary Roh and Sean Oshiro; the batting talent of Adam Grau Mathias Mihld and Matthew Ruf; and the mental gamesmanship of Sean Kosco and Lucas Ponce that broke every rally of the tournament champions.
