The La Crescenta CSA Blue 12U All Stars baseball team took first place at the Pico Rivera 12U All Star Weekend Tournament. To get to the championship game, the CSA Blue 12U team first beat Montebello Blue 12U 4-3 then went on to conquer the Los Angeles 12U All Stars 6-5.

Being undefeated, for Saturday’s pool play the team was able to take a bye and go straight to the Sunday playoffs. In the first round of the playoffs, CSA Blue beat Montebello Gold 7-6 to advance to the championship game against Montebello Blue.

In the championship game CSA Blue was behind 2-0 at the first half of the first inning of play against Montebello Blue. Not long after, CSA Blue found its mark and scored four runs in the bottom of the first to take a 4-2 lead. CSA Blue then scored one run in the second inning and four runs in the third inning to pull ahead 9-3 at the bottom of the third. In the fourth inning Montebello Blue failed to score, but CSA Blue scored two more runs forcing a mercy rule to win the championship 11-3.
