Local resident Patrick Present, in his third season of coaching ice hockey, has taken his team the Valencia Express Peewee B (boys ages 11-12) to the state championships in San Jose in April.

After ending the regular season with a 14-1-1 record, they went on to win the state championship title with a 4-0 record, bringing home the first place banner.
