The seventh annual Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament presented by NBC4 Southern California was held Aug. 7-9 in downtown Los Angeles. The tournament hosted over 1,500 teams with over 4,500 players, and drew more than 25,000 visitors to the streets of L.A. Teams composed of all ages and skill levels made their way onto over 100 courts that lined L.A. Live and Staples Center. In addition there were over 20 interactive vendors and basketball-themed activities to entertain the thousands of athletes, guests and families participating and attending.

Among those athletes were three Crescenta Valley High School alum – Matt Cevera, Danny Goldsworthy and Nick Kelly. They won all three of their games on Saturday, won the first on Sunday but lost the final two.

Though they didn’t play as well as they hoped, they’re already planning on being part of the 2016 event planned for Aug. 5-7.
