CV Falcons scored a major win in Race 37, boys’ divisions 1 & 2, team sweepstakes at Brooks Mt. Sac Invitational on Saturday. The Falcons were led by Colin FitzGerald who captured an impressive second place running 14:40.1. Teammate Zach Johnson, who consistently has given the Falcons the ability to score big, placed ninth with a time of 14:56.8.
The following runners also assisted in contributing to the team’s final score that placed the CV third in the overall stats: Manan Vats placed 21st (15:17.5), Artin Allahverdian, 40th, (15:39.4), Spencer Geck, 45th, (15:44.7), Carter Walch, 80th, (16:13.5), Charles Pingry, 93rd, (16:27.0).

Falcon girls entered into Race 36, divisions 1 & 2, individual sweepstakes and scored seventh as a team. Caitlyn Couch captured seventh running 17:46.6, McKenna Heeg, 26th, (19:37.6), Samantha Moore, 35th, (19:59.0), Gaby Borraez 37th, (20:02.1), Melissa Owens, 47th, (20:37.3), Izzy Lieberman, 72nd, (21:41.8) and Sojeong Kang, 75th, (21:52).

CV JV Falcons did well in Race 33, boys’ divisions 1 & 2, JV national championship, placing fourth as a team. Dylan Wilbur ran his best race of the season on the diverse course to place 10th and breaking 16 minutes with a final time of 15:57.1. Teammate Grant Lauterback placed 14th (16:08.6), Logan Neil, 22nd, (16:21.7), Kevin Faeustle, 36th, (16:43.2), Erik Faeustle, 66th, (17:15.8), Jack Doloszyski, 70th, (17:21.5) and Ethan Sharp, 72nd, (17:25.8).
