It was announced on Thursday by Crescenta Valley High School Principal Linda Junge that head football coach Paul Schilling will be handing the reins of the program over to Hudson Gossard.
According to an email from Junge, “Coach Gossard is well prepared for this role, understanding the game, knowing the culture of the program, and having established relationships with current athletes, coaching staff, and boosters. He will unquestionably add to our Pride, Tradition and Honor. Not only has he coached at CV for many years but is also an accomplished athlete and decorated CV Hall of Famer in his own right. He assumes this role with the full support and confidence of the coaching staff and administration.”
Starting next semester Coach Hudson Gossard will assume the role of head coach.
Schilling will assume a “different role” that allows fresh ideas and perspectives to be given a chance. He will head CV’s lower level football.
Schilling has been CV’s head coach since 2009.
