CVTC to Commemorate Armenian Genocide
The CV Town Council announced that we will be commemorating the Armenian Genocide during our upcoming general meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. This important meeting will take place at the La Crescenta Library, and we invite community members to join us as we honor this significant moment in history.
We will recognize the local ANCA Chapter during the meeting and present our official declaration to them. To enrich this commemoration, the Homenetmen CV Shant scouts will lead the flag ceremony followed by an invocation from Der Hayr Ghevont Karazian, creating a meaningful atmosphere for reflection and unity.
In addition, we will take this opportunity to acknowledge Evoke Dance Space in Montrose. This studio plays a crucial role in preserving Armenian culture through dance and has consistently supported our community events. We will express our gratitude toward both the studio and its owner, Rubina Vararians, for their unwavering commitment to cultural preservation.
Looking forward, mark your calendars for the Hometown Country Fair on April 26 at CV Park. Please stop by the CVTC booth and say hello.
Lastly, a reminder for local high school seniors: the deadline for the CVTC Scholarship application is April 30. We encourage potential applicants to submit their applications for this valuable opportunity on time.
We hope to see many of you at our April 17 meeting. For more information and updates, please visit our website and follow us on our Instagram accounts. Your engagement is vital to our community, and we look forward to connecting with you soon!
